Society today has a lot of pressure and expectation about Job performance, whether in the office, sports, or any other arena.

We are expected to be at our best always; don’t be a minimum guy, be better, blah blah blah.

Importantly we need to learn to differentiate between good and bad stress

Certain situations, such as starting a new job or giving a big presentation, will naturally cause some stress and anxiety.

This is all right. “Good stress is just our body rising to the challenge of whatever is in front of us.”

But if the feeling continues even after the presentation or settling into the job, then a problem must be addressed.

With travel bans, WFH, and limited dining and outing, it’s tough to get a break from the routine and pressures.

Personally, sports primarily let me break through the pressure cycle, and I top it up with deep human connections that I have built over time.

Start with what works for you; if it doesn’t, don’t hesitate to reach out.
