Anita’s Experience

I have a soft corner for fairy lights, so the tents and fairy lights set up just by the beach and with the sun setting off on the first day of the year set the mood. Being a new year, they had an overwhelming response, so the service was slow, but I had chilled winds and chilled time with family, and that was a good kickstart to the year.

Prabjeet Experience

New year in Dubai starts with the visit to Gurudwara, a ritual we have never missed on our trips to Dubai in the Decembers.

But this year, we’re took things up a notch. Anita’s cousin, knew we were all about exploring the coolest cafes in town. They took us to the Maddy Food truck, nestled in the sandy swathes of Jebel Ali Beach! We might have missed the proper sunset, but we got to witness the final swan song of that orange tint.

It was the perfect ending to day one of the new year.
